We here at HogWild Spices recognize that it is possible for anyone to go to the local grocer and pick up spices. There are a few problems with that idea today, however.

When you stop and look at the cost of most spice blends on the market today, the prices have gone up, but what has happened to the spices?  They haven't stayed pure - when you look at most spice blends on the shelf, pick one up and look at the ingredients of the blends. Anything there you don't recognize?

While it could be argued that the chemicals and the fillers included in their blends don't change the taste, or affect our bodies, the problem is that you are getting things other than the spices in that bottle you just paid for. For certain people, the fillers themselves are health concerns.

That is why our spice blend is all natural. We don't believe that we need to have a chemistry degree to blend spices together, and neither should our customers. Why pay $3.00 for 2 ounces of spices when you aren't really getting 2 ounces of spices?

Our combination of spices is also designed to go on many foods, as you will see in our recipe section, with more people contributing on a fairly constant basis. This happened in the most glorious of ways, by accident. In playing with spices over a year now, we created a spice blend that our taste testers agree is subtle in flavor, yet spices up many dishes. One taste tester, a local chef, stated that she was impressed that in adding a lot of the spice to her meal, it didn't overload her taste buds, turn bitter, or overpower the meal.

So what we here at HogWild Spices hope to offer you, our customer, is a lower cost per ounce alternative that isn't used for just one or two dishes and isn't filled with products you didn't know you were paying for.
